EquiTrust Life Delivery Receipt Requirements

EquiTrust Life requires signed delivery receipts for all contracts above $500,000, or for cases of any size in the following states: California, Louisiana, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, and Wyoming.

In cases where a delivery receipt is required, the free-look period--which varies by state--begins on the date the contract holder signs the delivery receipt.

Commissions are not affected by the delivery receipt requirement in the states listed above.  However, EquiTrust Life defers payment of commissions on cases $500,000 and above until the signed delivery receipt is received by EquiTrust Life.  A faxed copy is acceptable to satisfy this requirement.
