Index-Product Training Requirement
Please be advised that the state of Iowa requires indexed-product producer training prior to selling a fixed index annuity.
The training requirement must be fulfilled by completing a course that has been filed with and approved by the state of Iowa. The course is 4 hours in length and a producer may use the CE credits completed under the indexed products training requirement to meet the producer’s continuing education requirement.
A list of approved courses is available at www.pearsonvue.com. Please contact the providers for information on dates, times, and any associated fees.
Once the course is completed the producer will receive a certificate of completion. A copy of the certificate must be submitted to our Home Office – either by fax or email – to verify that the indexed product training requirement has been met. Include your EquiTrust Agent ID number.

Your first application for an indexed product will require proof that the required training has been completed prior to the application being written. If training has not been completed, the case will be rejected.
