To Sign Your Updated Agent Contract
The response to the updated Agent Contract requirement has been excellent, but we want to give you every opportunity to respond and avoid future business delays or disruptions.
An updated EquiTrust Agent Contract must be signed by March 29, 2019. This will facilitate normal processing of future new business, and will assure uninterrupted online and mobile-app access to your existing business.
If you submitted a life or annuity case within the last two years, you need to sign only the updated Agent Contract. If you are contracted for both annuity and life insurance, a single signed contract will cover both lines. To print the updated Agent Contract, click here.
If more than two years have passed since you submitted a life or annuity case, a background check – conducted when new business is received – is required for reappointment in your state. To expedite the background check and state reappointment, please complete the updated Agent Contract and Appointment Application. If you are currently contracted to sell both annuity and life products, two sets of these documents are required.
Due primarily to the creation of EquiTrust Marketing Services – a new entity through which future commissions will be paid – an updated Agent Contract must be signed. If you have already submitted your updated Agent Contract, thank you.
Tips to Assure Proper Updating of Your Agent Contract
• Ensure the name of the contract Agent or Agency is printed on page 10
• Authorized signer for your agency must sign name on page 10
• Agency name on page 1 must be the full name, including DBA, LLC if appropriate
• Include the business address on page 1
• Include the current date
• All 10 pages of the contract are required to be returned
