1035 Exchange for Spousal Death Benefits Now Permitted

Updated Deferred Annuity Claim Form – ET-2700(12-18)

Effective 1/2/19, annuity death benefits payable to a spouse-beneficiary may be moved to another insurance carrier without surrender charges. The Deferred Annuity Claim Form – ET-2700(12-18) – has been revised to facilitate a 1035 Exchange, and must be submitted with a death claim.  Prior versions of the Deferred Annuity Claim Form cannot be used for a 1035 Exchange.
