Below are raw annualized returns for the three indices featured in EquiTrust index-linked products. Keep in mind that the Barclays Focus50 and S&P MARC 5% Excess Return linked accounts provide higher participation rates than S&P 500-based participation accounts. The data also support the strategy to diversify among indices, as well as account strategies.  

Stability

Recent history shows the Barclays Focus50 and S&P MARC 5% Excess Return indices performing as they’re supposed to – for reduced volatility. The chart below compares volatility of the risk-control indices to the S&P 500 since the beginning of the pandemic.
