Newswire — Good news! Florida can use generic FNA and D&C forms

STATE-SPECIFIC FLORIDA FNA AND D&C FORMS ELIMINATED
Florida moving to generic FNA and D&C forms
Doing business just got a little easier in Florida! Effective Jan. 1, Florida will no longer require state-specific variations of the Financial Needs Analysis (FNA) and Disclosure & Comparison of Products forms. Applications for all products will be completed using the generic version of the FNA — ET2506(07-23) — and the D&C forms.
For paper applications and Bridge® E-Applications, this change will be implemented on Jan. 1. When all EquiTrust products that use the Firelight E-Application system have been transitioned to the wizard platform toward the end of January, the generic version of these forms will be in place and the variations will be removed for Florida applications.
Why is Florida changing?
Florida recently joined the growing number of states that have adopted the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) Suitability in Annuity Transactions Model Regulation 275. Complying with this “best interest” standard means Florida no longer requires the state variations of the FNA and D&C forms.
