Waiver of 2020 RMD

In response to COVID-19, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act passed March 27, 2020. One provision of the Act provides for the voluntary suspension of 2020 required minimum distributions (RMD). Please be aware this provision applies only to IRA contracts. No action is necessary if your client does not wish to make a change to her/his current RMD. For clients that do wish to suspend or return their 2020 RMD, a RMD Waiver and Return of Received RMD Payment form will be mailed to all clients with a 2020 RMD transaction currently scheduled on their contract(s). For clients with no current 2020 RMD transaction scheduled, no action is required to waive the 2020 RMD. This form is available on both the Agent and Client Portal, titled; ET-RMD-Waiver-(05-20).

Disclosure and Comparison Forms Changing in Most States

Due to regulatory updates, revised Disclosure and Comparison forms for MarketPower Bonus Index and MarketValue Index apply in the following states: AK, CT, DE (MarketValue only), ID, IL (MarketPower Bonus only), MN, MT, NV, OH, OK, OR, PA, TX, UT, VT and WA. The new forms dated 06-20 are available beginning July 1, 2020, and will be required in the state of Idaho beginning August 1, 2020. To ensure you are using current forms in the application process, use AppBuilder or E-App at the time of sale – both resources available on the Agent Gateway Website.
