Avoid this common NIGO The Financial Needs Analysis form has two questions related to net worth – amount of liquid net worth and estimated total net worth. The answer for total net worth always needs to be equal to or higher than the amount of liquid net worth. The form also asks for types of current assets. This section must include the source of funds being used to purchase the annuity, and the value of the current assets should be included in the total net worth value provided.

If you create your own ad featuring an EquiTrust product – whether a fully disclosed ad with product name and issuer identified, or a “blind ad” with product name and issuer not identified – the ad must be submitted to EquiTrust for review prior to use. Include how the ad will be distributed (e.g., name of publication), states in which it will be distributed, and date of distribution.
Ensure RMD processing occurs before year-end by submitting all 2022 client RMD requests no later than 12/15/2022. Where are the RMD request forms? They’re available via the Agent Gateway under Forms & Supplies/Forms and on the Client Portal.
RMDs for ineligible beneficiaries notice
According to IRS Notice 2022-53, ineligible beneficiaries – where the deceased died after their Required Beginning Date – may be required to begin taking RMDs in 2023. RMDs for 2021 and 2022 have been waived. Current clients or beneficiaries who may need to begin taking RMDs in 2023 will receive a letter from EquiTrust in 2023 informing them of this requirement.
