Soliciting or Selling Annuities in Arizona

Arizona recently adopted the model suitability regulation which mandates training elements for agents.  Arizona annuity producers must complete 4 hours of General Annuity Training CE credits (provided by a state-approved training vendor) in addition to the EquiTrust product-training requirement already in effect.

General Annuity Training Element
Four hours of continuing education credits must be obtained by an approved vendor offering General Annuity Training.  Only state-approved training courses meet the requirement and are available at the Arizona Department of Insurance website.  

The effective date for General Annuity Training Element is January 1, 2018.
