S&P MARC 5% Excess Return Index Added to MarketPower Bonus Index and MarketTen Bonus Index Annuities

 

All four EquiTrust index annuities now feature accounts linked to the S&P MARC 5% Excess Return Index.

The addition of S&P MARC 5% ER Index to MarketPower Bonus Index and MarketTen Bonus Index was effective 5/17/21. Revised Disclosure Statements dated 05-21 are on AppBuilder and E-App now, and must be used in order to elect the new accounts. The 05-21 Disclosure Statements are required for all applications beginning 6/17/21.

IMPORTANT: Additional website enhancements designed to simplify how you submit EquiTrust business are coming soon – including Upload A Doc. In order for your support team to utilize these enhancements on your behalf, each user must have a unique, secured login to the Agent Gateway Website. Shared passwords will no longer be compatible.

Product Training Requirement – MarketSeven Index Annuity

If your product training was completed before January 2019 and are selling the MarketSeven Index Annuity, your training requirement may not be current. You can check your Product Training status on the Agent Gateway Website, at the Agent Training link, then click My EquiTrust Product Training History. Login is required. If you have agents in your downline you can login and check their training history under Agent Administration, Pending/Active Agents. Please stay current with EquiTrust products – consider retaking EquiTrust Annuity Product Training as a refresher.

Arkansas Bulletin 7-2021 – Annuity "Best Interest" Training Requirements

The Arkansas Insurance Department issued bulletin 7-2021 regarding the Suitability in Annuities Rule 82, which requires producers to act in the best interest of the consumer. It goes into effect July 8, 2021 – except for the training requirements which go into effect January 1, 2022. After January 1, 2022, individuals may not engage in the sale of annuities in Arkansas until EITHER a 1-hour General Annuity Training CE course available to producers who have taken the previous NAIC Annuity Suitability training, OR a new 4-hour General Annuity Training CE for those who have not taken it previously. Courses approved under the "annuity products-best interest" course category will qualify to meet the Arkansas training requirement. Agent State Appointment / Just-In-Time processing

When writing your first piece of business with EquiTrust in a Just-In-Time state, be sure to submit the business to EquiTrust promptly to allow time for the state appointment to be processed within the appointment window per the state’s guideline.
